Student Resources

Student resources

If you are concerned about a classmate or need help for yourself, Furman provides a variety of resources to help foster a safe learning environment. We go above and beyond to ensure that each of our students is a respectful member of our community.

Helping students in distress

The Behavior Intervention Team is a group of administrators and staff who work closely with students who are struggling within the academic or social environment at Furman. The team works to coordinate university resources to assist students who are at risk academically, or who exhibit maladaptive behavior or signs of emotional distress. Get help.

Alcohol and drug education

We take a proactive, comprehensive approach to meeting students' health and wellness needs by addressing the dangers of alcohol and drug use. Our mission is to prevent and reduce underage drinking, high-risk drinking, and the related social harm for students. Get educated.

Harassment and sexual misconduct policies

We are committed to educating students to become responsible citizens and leaders in the human community. Our university does not tolerate nor condone sexual violence. Learn more about our harassment and sexual misconduct policies.
