Student resources
If you are concerned about a classmate or need help for yourself, Furman provides a variety of resources to help foster a safe learning environment. We go above and beyond to ensure that each of our students is a respectful member of our community.
The Behavior Intervention Team is a group of administrators and
staff who work closely with students who are struggling within the
academic or social environment at Furman. The team works to coordinate
university resources to assist students who are at risk academically, or
who exhibit maladaptive behavior or signs of emotional distress.
Get help.
We take a proactive, comprehensive approach to meeting students' health
and wellness needs by addressing the dangers of alcohol and drug use.
Our mission is to prevent and reduce underage drinking, high-risk
drinking, and the related social harm for students.
Get educated.
We are committed to
educating students to become responsible citizens and leaders in
the human community. Our university does not tolerate nor condone sexual violence.
