  • Register for Summer Orientation:

Furman offers a hybrid approach to acclimating students to academics and college life—Summer Orientation and Fall Orientation. We encourage our students to attend both sessions. Summer Orientation is a two-day event that offers new students and parents an opportunity to learn about our academics, meet with academic advisors, conduct important placement activities and register for fall classes. Summer Orientation registration deadline is Monday, June 2. The last day to make changes to your registration is Monday, June 9. Placement tests should be completed prior to attending Summer Orientation.

You can begin making your FYS selections on May 12.  To review seminar offerings, read through the First Year Seminar Guide. To learn how to make your selections, please see our online tutorial
