Furman offers a two-bedroom apartment to accommodate campus visitors, including visiting faculty, speakers, employee candidates, and/or parents. The Vinings at Duncan Chapel
is located just outside the Timmons entrance to campus.
- Two bedrooms (one queen size bed and two twin beds)
- Two bathrooms
- Fully furnished kitchen
- Living room with flat screen TV (cable provided)
- Dining room
- Washer and dryer (no additional usage fee)
- High-speed wireless Internet connection (no additional fee)
- Phone with free long distance (no international calls)
- Iron, coffee maker, microwave, and dishwasher provided
- Linens and towels are provided (no daily maid service)
Guests may check-in after 2:00 p.m. at the Housing & Residence Life office in the Estridge Commons building. Guests must check-out before 10 a.m. and return the key to the Housing & Residence Life office. The cost is $89 per night or $520 a week.
The maximum capacity is four guests. Guests may reserve this apartment for a minimum of one night and a maximum of 31 nights. Reservations may be extended based on availability once the guest has arrived. If a guest needs to stay longer than two months, they must sign a three-month lease for a regular apartment at the Vinings (cost based on leasing rates). Reservation are taken on a first-come, first-served basis (no earlier than one year in advance). Payment by cash, check, or interdepartmental invoice (credit cards not accepted) required at check-in. Key pickup and return must be coordinated through the Housing & Residence Life Office. **To avoid an $89/per day "late key charge" all keys are due back to the Housing & Residence Life Office by noon the day after check-out. If check-out is a weekend, a drop-box is available on the front of the Housing & Residence Life office for your convenience.
Note: These guest apartments have been designated as non-smoking and no-pet facilities.
