Spring 2013 Closing Instructions
One of Housing & Residence Life's goals is to provide students with safe, comfortable and attractive housing. Students are vital in making this goal a reality. After students check out, the Housing and Residence Life staff has seven days in the residence halls and five days in North Village to inventory, clean and repair damages in 716 residence hall rooms, four cabins, and 256 apartments before summer camps and conferences begin. The Housing and Residence Life staff expects that students will do their part to check out properly at the end of the spring semester, which will enable us to meet our goal of providing safe, comfortable and attractive housing.
All students, except those who are graduating, assisting with graduation (singers, marshals, ushers, etc.), working for the University, or staying for May Experience, should be out of the residence halls within 24 hours after their last exam.

- North Village & Greenbelt Community Closes - Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.

Please note that if you fail to follow these instructions and do not check out properly, you will be fined a minimum of $75. If you have not checked out by the above deadline (24 hours after you last exam), you will be assessed a maximum of $325 ($200 - Late check out, $75 - Improper check out, $50 Room Key/Lock Change) in addition to fines for room damages.
