Q: Is this a designed triple room and what furniture is provided?
A: These rooms are designed triple rooms. The rooms have three closets, are slightly larger than the double rooms, and will have three sets of furniture (dresser, desk, chair, bed). To maximize floor space, we will provide one loft for the room and the other two beds are bunked. Please do not order a loft for your room.

Q: Does a triple cost less than a double?
A: Yes, a triple room rate is less than a double room rate. See Housing Rates.

Q: Why was I assigned to a triple room and not someone else?
A: It is estimated that approximately 150 new students will be assigned to a triple room. Students assigned to triple rooms will be determined as follows:
  • Students who request a triple room;
  • Students who submit the Housing Assignments Request Form after the May 31, 2013, deadline; and
  • Students with the highest random computer-generated lottery numbers

Q: Is there any chance that I can get another assignment?
A: Campus housing will be completely full and all students will have assignments. Therefore, we do not expect to have an empty room or bed to move students. Students will be matched with roommates just like other students, so roommates in triple rooms should have several things in common. The current roommate matching process has proven successful.

Q: If one of my roommates withdraws, what impact does that have on furniture, cost, etc.?
A: The room and billing rate will remain a triple and a new roommate may be assigned. All furniture, including the loft, will remain in the room.
