Dr. Freeman serves as faculty for Healthcare Today
and teaches the FYW 1282: This is your Brain on Drugs seminar. Her nutritional neuroscience research focuses on investigating the damaging effects
of a high saturated fat diet on the brain, particularly looking at
increased inflammation and changes to the blood-brain-barrier. Her interests also include Alzheimer's disease as well as investigating food "addiction" and sex differences in seeking of palatable food rewards.
