Recreation and Sports Furman University

With 20 NCAA Division I teams, numerous club sports and dozens of intramural squads, it’s easy to find athletic glory on our campus. Our varsity and club teams have won national championships, and other students have earned campus bragging rights through our intramural leagues. If you're interested in learning a new a sport, you'll find plenty of options. Aikido, anyone?

If you’d prefer to work up a sweat without joining a team, you can stay in shape at the Physical Activities Center. Our health club is always packed. Pump some iron, run on the treadmills, or swim a few laps in our indoor pool.

From softball to flag football, there’s always an intramural sports league going on during the school year. Don’t be surprised if you're recruited by one of your classmates. Join a team.
