Getting Involved
When you’re a student at Furman, your social calendar will be full.
You'll easily find a group of friends who share your passion and
interests.
Furman has around 125 clubs and organizations. Ultimate frisbee. WPLS
radio. Film clubs. Student government. Greek organizations. If you can
name it, there are probably a group of students who are involved it. If
not, find a few students who share your interest and start your own.
At Furman, the activities and fun are as varied as our students.
With more than 200 student organizations, there's not much you won't find at Furman. Our organizations and clubs run the gamut, and connect you with people who share your passion. If you can’t find a group that suits your needs, recruit a few students who share your interest and start your own.
Get involved.
Furman has 14 active sororities and fraternities on campus. Unlike other
institutions, our Greek community does not rush new members until
the spring. This gives you an opportunity to become familiar
with your new surroundings before determining if a sorority or
fraternity is right for you.

Essential to the Furman experience
—both in and out of the classroom
—is preparation for a life of consequence and meaning.
Heller Service Corps,
our largest student organization, encourages an in-depth commitment to
the community. Supported by a $1.5 million endowment, the organization
places more than 1,800 students in agencies serving the community each
year. From building homes to working with the underpriviledged, there are dozens of ways to get involved.
