 Load equipment on van and drive to Blue Ridge Parkway

 Backpack Wilderness Area
 7:00 pm

 Camp Set-Up
 8:00 pm

 Dinner

Day 3 (August 22)

     Breakfast
 9:00 am

 Continue backpacking
 12:00 pm

 Lunch
 4:30 pm

 Return to vans
 6:00 pm

 Arrive at Furman
 7:00 pm

 Dinner at Greenville Restaurant

 Return to Furman

Day 4 (August 23)

 College life begins

What to Bring

Backpacking

  • hiking boots or well broken in tennis shoes that provide support
  • at least one sturdy water bottle or camelback (a must)
  • shirts and shorts that can dry quickly (no cotton)
  • several pairs of hiking socks (no cotton)
  • rain gear
  • bathing suit
  • camera
  • sleeping bag
  • sunscreen
  • a hat (optional)
  • sunglasses (optional)
