Furman Financial Information

Affording a Furman education

We recognize the significant investment your family makes to attain a Furman education. We also know that the process for applying for and assessing financial aid can be daunting. That's why we are committed to working with you and your family from the beginning of your exploration into Furman.

Our Financial Aid Counselors provide the highest level of personal service. We believe no other college financial aid office provides more assistance, or works harder to keep you and your family informed. It is our goal to educate you on your choices, so that you will be better prepared financially.

Financial aid

To be considered for any need-based financial assistance, students must complete the CSS Profile and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Financial aid packages usually have a combination of Furman need-based grants and/or merit-based scholarships, federal/state grants and loans, and work-study.  Be sure to review the deadlines for financial aid.

Many students also apply for scholarships administered by agencies and organizations outside of Furman by using online resources like fastweb.com, finaid.org, and the College Board.

Purchase books
