As an Engaged Living student, leadership will come naturally to you, as you will be among some of the most involved students on campus. You may serve in the student government, participate in a Greek organization, perform in campus plays and musical productions, compete as a student-athlete, or serve as a campus ambassador for new students at Furman.
You'll also be a part of longstanding Furman traditions. You will talk with your classmates over a dinner served by your Engaged Living faculty during fall orientation; "paint up" at a tailgate to cheer on the Paladins; compete against other Furman student organizations in the annual Homecoming Week spirit competition; and honor achievement with an awards ceremony to celebrate the completion of your first year.
You will have plenty of opportunities to develop your leadership, planning, and teamwork abilities. Just imagine working with your fellow students to design and build an award winning float during the annual Homecoming spirit competition!
