Senior Elite Camp

The Paladin Elite Camps are designed to provide participants with a day of detailed football instruction focused on individual improvement.
The Furman football staff will instruct campers on the techniques and fundamentals specific to his position on the field.
It is our goal that each camper leaves the Furman campus having become a more complete football player.
Each session of Elite Camp is identical to the others, therefore, it is not necessary to attend more than one session.
Quarterback and Wide Receiver Camp
Session I: June 9-12, 2013 Session II: June 16-19, 2013
An intensive, four day residential camp for rising 8th-12th graders focused on improving the fundamentals of each player. Areas of focus will be fundamentals, technique, mechanics of the throwing motion, route running, speed and agility, and increasing knowledge of the game of football. Camp competitions will supplement instruction times and allow campers to apply what they have learned through the course of training sessions.
Offensive Line Camp
Session I: June 9-12, 2013 Session II: June 16-19, 2013
An intensive, four day residential camp for rising 8th-12th graders focused on improving the fundamentals of each player. Areas of focus will be fundamentals, blocking technique, blocking schemes, strength development, and increasing knowledge of the game of football. Camp competitions will supplement instruction times and allow campers to apply what they have learned through the course of training sessions.
Future Stars Youth Camps
July 16-18, 2013
A half day camp running from Tuesday through Thursday for ages 8-13 focused on exposing young football players to the fundamentals of the game. Campers will be exposed to high repetition drills, fundamental skills, and techniques required to play football. Daily games and competitions will supplement instruction times and give each camper the opportunity to apply what he has learned.

Furman University Cross Country Camp presented by Brooks

At the Furman University Cross Country Camp, our goal is to stimulate a love for running in young athletes by showing them how to accelerate their progress and success. By working with experienced and successful coaches, we are able to offer an unforgettable growth experience -- no matter what your age or skill level.

Furman Mountain Biking Camp
Session I: June 10-12, 2013 Session II: July 8-10, 2013
This is the twelfth year for the basic mountain bike day camp for girls and boys at Furman University. The suggested age is eight to 12 years old. The camp is three full days from 8:30am to 4:00pm daily. The $95.00 cost of camp includes lunch daily at the Furman Dining Hall and a t-shirt and certificate upon completion. Participants are required to have their own mountain bike and properly fitted helmet.
Instruction includes bicycle riding safety, bike safety checks, proper mounting and dismounting, balance techniques, negotiating obstacles, proper breaking and gearing, climbing and descending hills and descending steps. Road safety riding is also practiced. Extensive trail riding is done in groups designated for different rider skill levels. Participants should be in good physical condition and capable of riding in rough terrain.
The camp is conducted by Furman University Police officers with specially selected past participants and assistants. The student/counselor ration is usually four to one.

Roberts Rugby Academy
June 26-30, 2013
John Roberts, long-time coach of the Furman men’s rugby team, established a rugby academy at Furman in 2008 with the mission of fostering youth rugby development, good sportsmanship and camaraderie. The first camp was held in 2009; camp attendance doubled in 2010 and grew again in 2011 as good news of the camp spread.

Girls' Basketball Camps at Furman University
The 2013 Girls' Basketball Camp Program at Furman University, conducted by Coach Jackie Carson, will feature a variety of camps that will be available for all kids ages 4-18.
Individual camp: June 9-12, 2013 - Age 4 through grade 12
Team camp: June 14-16, 2013 - Middle school, high school and AAU teams
Elite camp: June 21-23, 2013 - Grades 9-12

Niko Medved Basketball Camp at Furman University

Camp will be comprised of on-court sessions along with activities and short lectures by the Furman coaching staff. The early morning sessions will be devoted to basic skills such as ball handling, shooting and passing. As the camp progresses, camp coaches will implement skills in team-related activities and contests. By the end of camp, you will have had quality instruction from Division I coaches and players, improved your overall basketball skill level, made new friends, and had a fun time!

Ron Smith Baseball Camp

Learn the game from one of the best at Ron Smith's Baseball Camp at Furman University. Our goal is for campers to have personalized instruction and be trained to enjoy the game by increasing their skills and fundamentals from experienced coaches who have played the game at every level. Emphasis is for every camper to be taught with individual drills from Coach Smith's specialized team concept teaching...all in a very lower camper-to-coach ratio. Many of our campers who have gone on to play competitive high school and collegiate baseball got their start with Ron Smith. Join us this summer and learn to play the game at the next level at one of the best parks in the Southern Conference!
