Course Credit
The Internship Office maintains databases of internships, Greenville business contacts, alumni and friends of Furman as well as resources to assist students with the application process. Faculty who teach an 503 or 505 internship course may send their students through the Internship Office to identify potential internships and then ask the student to return to meet with them to review the internships for approval. Furman's catalog includes internship course descriptions and requirements for each academic department. Students whose employers require credit for their
summer internship should contact the Internship Office to discuss options available.
The Internship Office also maintains copies of the syllabi and evaluation forms used in Furman's 503 or 505 courses. Use of the 'standard' organization evaluation form is recommended so that area businesses see a consistent standard of review for Furman Interns.
Contact the Internship Office for access to the on-line evaluation forms for both the site supervisor and student.
