Research and Professional Growth Committee
Annual Report, 2005-2006
During the 2005-2006 academic year the Research and Professional Growth Committee met three times to evaluate research grant proposals and sabbatical leave applications. At its December meeting the committee awarded $10,533 in research grants to 12 faculty members, and at its April meeting it awarded $23,302 in research grants to 19 faculty members. The committee’s budget for the academic year was $33,850.
The committee met in March to evaluate and recommend approval of 24 sabbatical leave applications.
Dr. Kevin Treu has continued to work with the committee in developing its website. Grant proposals, sabbatical applications, post-project reports, and post-sabbatical reports are now filed online, allowing the committee to build an electronic archive that helps with its work.
The chair expresses his appreciation to all of the committee members for their diligent work during the year.
