Research and Professional Growth Committee
Annual Report,  2004-2005

During the 2004-2005 academic year the Research and Professional Growth Committee met four times to consider solicited research proposals and sabbatical leave applications. During the first round of research proposal considerations for projects covering fall 2004 and winter 2005, 20 faculty members were awarded $11,806. During the second round of research proposal considerations covering spring and summer 2005, 21 faculty members were awarded $22,000.  Over $33,000 was available for grants during the academic year.

In the spring the RPG Committee met twice to recommend approval of 17 sabbatical leave applications.

The RPG Committee also began the implementation of submitting proposals and post-project reports electronically.  Dr. Kevin Treu has provided the development.  By the end of the summer 2005 the application and post-project/sabbatical report processes will be on line.

The acting chair acknowledges the diligent work of the committee members.
