Updates from L. DeJong:
376.5 Risk Management and Off Campus Programs – Still being considered on changes based on Bernie Stanton’s comments.

Constitution
Changes have been proposed to reflect the new Dean/Provost positions. Article VII Section 2 has a Vice President for Academic Affairs title that wasn’t updated. Beckford and Kazee will be asked who should be listed in this section. Article V Section 5 lists some committees with the word Committee and some without. It was suggested to list them all without the word Committee. Some additional grammatical errors were fixed. Beckford and Kazee will be asked about the impact of May Experience on Constitution
in Article V Section 5.

File 148.1 Salary Continuation at Death
The committee decided to omit the bullet points from the format of the policy. DeJong will send the policy back to the Status Committee along with revisions that were the result of conversations with the Benefits Committee (Bruce Brown, Tom Hay, Maggie Milat).

File 196.5 News and Media Relations
The committee offered corrections to the policy. DeJong will verify these corrections with Greg Carroll. If he agrees with these corrections, the policy will be presented to the faculty at the December meeting of the faculty.

File 198.2 Status Committee Operating Procedures
DeJong will check with Paul Rassmussen about the due process operating procedure policy with the hopes that this policy and 198.2 can be considered together at the next meeting of Policies and Procedures.

File 228.1 Tuition Benefits for Faculty and Staff
Monica Byrnes will be preparing revisions of this policy.

The next meeting of the Policies and Procedures Committee will be Wednesday, November 19 at 8:00am.

Respectfully submitted,
Paula Gabbert, Recorder
Charlie DeLancy
