Minutes: Policies and Procedures Committee

Susan Zeiger attended the meeting for the discussion of File 367.5
File 367.5 Risk Management & Off Campus Programs
Zeiger mentioned that the Business Affairs office was reorganizing so DeJong will contact Mary Lou Merkt to find out who the originator should be for this policy. The following suggestions were made for this policy:
- The guidelines will need to be updated to reflect the new name for Administrative Services. DeJong will get this information from Mary Lou Merkt.
- The policy uses the term “university officials or employees” but the guidelines still use the term “program director”. It was suggested that the term “university officials or employees” be shortened to “university employees” and that this term be used throughout all guidelines (see Guidelines 3,6,7).
- Guideline 2 will be rewritten by Susan Zeiger to clarify the boundaries of when release forms are required.
The minutes for March 19th were approved and Gabbert will post to FirstClass.
It was suggested that the final report for the Policies and Procedures Committee include a list of all policies that were changed during the year. DeJong will compile this list for the final report.
Our next regular meeting is scheduled for April 16th 1:00pm-2:30pm.
