Library Committee
Annual Report, 2002-2003
By the end of the 2002-2003 academic year, the Library Committee will have met three times. At each meeting the committee received updates on library personnel, services, resources and the building project. At its October meeting, the committee allocated library carrels to faculty and reviewed the new library allocations formula. During its March meeting the committee reviewed the library’s New Model for Collection Development and its schedule for implementation. At its May meeting the committee will tour the Charlie Peace Wing, which is under construction.
The chair thanks the members of the committee for their efforts, Ann Bryant for logistical support, and John Payne and Betty Kelly for their invaluable contributions to the committee’s work.
The chair would like to remind the faculty that because of renovation of the original library’s facilities (scheduled to begin this summer), faculty carrels will not be available during the 2003-2004 academic year.
