Individualized Curriculum Committee
Annual Report, 2011-2012

The ICP Committee conducted most of its business by email meeting formally twice during the fall semester of the year, and once in the spring semester. The committee also held a reception for ICP majors in November 2011.

Many students aspiring to major with an ICP met individually with the chair of the committee, and/or with the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs when she was on the committee, and later with the Senior Associate Academic Dean after the latter joined the committee.

Of the several students who initiated consultation to propose an ICP major three submitted their proposals by the deadline of October 12 in the fall semester, and three more by the deadline of March 12 in the spring semester. Of these, the committee approved one proposal in the fall and one in the spring.

The committee revised the guidelines and forms for submission of ICP proposals and for requests from ICP majors seeking to change approved course schedules.

Members of the committee: Maegan Azar, Karni Bhati (Chair), Bruce Clemens, David Hollis, Marianne Pierce, Ilka Rasch, Jeff Yankow, and Shealy White (student representative).

Respectfully submitted,
Karni Bhati, Chair
