Individualized Curriculum Committee
Annual Report, 2004-2005
To date, the ICP committee met once per term to evaluate ICP proposals. The summary of our activities is below.
Number of ICP proposals reviewed: 8
Number approved: 6
Two proposals were denied, with some suggestions should the students choose to resubmit their proposals.
Revisions to existing ICP’s: 2; in both cases, an irreconcilable conflict prevented completion of a CORE course, and appropriate substitutions from related courses were approved.
Overall, we were impressed with the imagination and rigor of the successful proposals.
The chair thanks the committee members for sharing their insights and for working together to reach consensus opinions on all proposals. Special thanks to Si Pearman for his historical knowledge, diligence in reviewing proposals for possible course scheduling conflicts, and aid in counseling students through the ICP process.
