Annual Report, 2010-2011

The FYS Oversight Committee met frequently over the course of the school year. The committee’s activities include the following:

·   Approval of twenty-five faculty requests for funds
·   Endorsement of thirty-one proposals for FYS or FYW courses
·   Program assessment, including discussion of student opinion surveys and research into freshman writing
·   Planning of two social events for FYS faculty, allowing faculty to discuss courses and best practices
·   Workshops in summer 2010 for faculty planning FYS/W courses (with more planned for summer 2011).
