Faculty Scholarship and Awards Committee
Annual Report, 2010-2011
The Faculty Scholarship and Awards Committee met five times during the 2010-2011 academic year.
The committee’s work consisted of the following:
1 Selection of the 2011-2012 Faculty Scholarship winner. The committee selected Mr. Jordan Q. Lyerly for the award. Mr. Lyerly will be presented to the faculty at the opening meeting of the 2011-2012 academic year.
2 Selection of semi-finalists and finalists for the Bradshaw-Feaster and Donaldson-Watkins Medals. The slate of semi-finalists was presented to the faculty on March 3, 2011 meeting. The three finalists for each award were presented to the faculty for vote at its April 20, 2011 meeting. The faculty voted to award the Donaldson-Watkins medal to Ms. Katherine Suzanne Shultz and the Bradshaw-Feaster medal to Mr. Reece Cameron Lyerly. Each award will be presented at commencement. The names of the semi-finalists and finalists should remain confidential within the faculty.
