Curriculum Committee
Annual Report 2010-2011
The Curriculum Committee met eight times during the 2010 – 2011 academic year and conducted additional business via e-mail. All proposals were submitted via the electronic course proposal system.
The committee endorsed 87 proposals. Of the total proposals endorsed, 26 were catalog courses, 17 were First Year Seminars, 15 were First Year Writing Seminars, 21 were May Experiences, and 8 were temporary courses (special topics).
The chair would like to thank the following Curriculum Committee members for their time and energy in the work of the Curriculum Committee: John Beckford, Michael Brodeur, Jerry Cox, Paula Gabbert, Joe Pollard, Steve Richardson, and Claude Stulting, In addition, the student members also provided valuable insight on this committee: Prenita Hudson, Ford Riddle, and Matt Correnti. Laura Baker also provided necessary resource information from the library. The chair would also like to thank Brad Barron for his help with the process of endorsing the proposals and answering numerous questions about various curriculum issues.
