Curriculum Committee
Annual Report, 2006-2007
The Curriculum Committee has met 11 times during the year (with one more meeting to go) and conducted business via e-mail. Of major importance, the transition from electronic “paper” forms to the new online course proposal system was successful, though not without minor setbacks. The committee is working with Brad Barron and Kevin Treu to make improvements to the system. We reviewed and endorsed/approved over 115 courses, many associated with the new curriculum. Additionally we have begun revising the operating procedures of the committee in response to the new calendar and curriculum.
I would like to thank Curriculum Committee members Linda Bartlett, Jerry Cox, Si Pearman, Shirley Ritter, Bruce Schoonmaker, John Snyder, Helen Lee Turner for all of their hard work and input. I would especially like to thank Brad Barron for his help with the massive load of courses and various snafus during the transition to the online proposal system and for updating courses with revisions. The Committee would like to thank Kevin Treu for his outstanding work in developing the online course proposal system, which streamlines the entire process.
Respectfully submitted,
Brannon Andersen
