Prospective Applicants Furman University

To be considered for any federal financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To be considered for any Furman-funded need-based grant aid in addition to any federal aid, you must complete the CSS Profile.

CSS Profile

Furman uses the College Board's CSS PROFILE to determine demonstrated financial need for the university's need-based grant program. Because Furman's institutional resources are limited, we must take the best measure of a family's ability to pay into account in awarding our own funds to students. The code to use for Furman to receive your CSS PROFILE is 5222. Complete your CSS Profile.

FAFSA

All applicants interested in federal and state grants, loans, and work study must complete the FAFSA. If you are a South Carolina resident, you may be eligible for a South Carolina Tuition Grant of up to $2,900 per year. To apply, complete and submit your FAFSA by June 30th. The Title IV code to use for Furman to receive your FAFSA results in 003434. Complete your FAFSA.
