Rain Plan and Ticket Information
If the ceremony is moved to Timmons Arena, admission will be by “rain ticket” only, and all guests MUST have a ticket. Graduates do not need a ticket. Due to limited seating, each graduate will be furnished five (5) admission tickets for use by family or friends in case of inclement weather.
Tickets will be distributed at the commencement rehearsal in McAlister Auditorium. It is crucial that graduating students attend this rehearsal in order to receive rain tickets. As indoor seating will be very limited, tickets cannot be replaced if lost or misplaced.
A final decision on the venue for the ceremony will be made at approximately 4:30pm and a notice to all students will be sent via the emergency notification system. If weather conditions require the use of Timmons Arena, announcements will be posted on Student News and Public Announcements, and signs will be posted on campus. For the latest updates, check the

In addition to the five (5) rain tickets, each graduate will also receive three (3) complimentary dinner tickets during the Commencement Rehearsal in McAlister Auditorium.
