Whether you’re going through a difficult time or you just have questions about life and faith, we’re here to listen. We can act as a sounding board and offer resources to any student, faculty, or staff member. When you come to us, be assured that we'll offer you a space that’s both non-judgmental and confidential.
Do you have a problem or question? We’re here to listen. Students come to us for confession, questions about faith, to talk about losing a loved one, or just looking for a non-judgmental, confidential space to work through their problems. We’re not here to impose any one system of beliefs on you. When you come to us we can pull from any or all beliefs to help counsel you. It’s up to you.
Common reason to come to pastoral care:

Send a sympathy card
Providing handwritten cards to those who have lost a loved one can show great support. The Chaplain’s Office provides blank sympathy cards with counseling resources listed on the back. Completing the order form for the cards will guarantee delivery to your Furman mailbox within 24 hours, for you to then pass on to the student in need. Send a sympathy card.
