Connections Women Leaders of the Upstate Furman University

The Women's Leadership Institute of Furman is a premier development conference designed for women with proven leadership abilities. Since 1997, this premier conference has helped women take control of their careers, become stronger leaders, and make significant contributions to their communities. Governed by an advisory board and selected from nominations, the class size is limitedcreating a powerful network for participants.

COnference Overview

The Women's Leadership Institute of Furman includes seminars led by women who have achieved prominence in business and the community. The conference opens with an orientation followed by four lunch session and concludes with a graduation ceremony. Tuition for the conference is $1,250 and includes professional development conference, a personal assessment, one-on-one coaching, materials and catering.


The 2015 Women's Leadership Conference dates include:

  • Orientation: Jan. 13, 5:30-9:00 p.m.
  • Seminar 1: February 10, Noon-2:00 p.m.
  • Seminar 2: March 3, Noon-2:00 p.m.
  • Seminar 3: March 17, Noon- 2:00 p.m.
  • Seminar 4: April 7, Noon-2:00 p.m.
  • Graduation: April 21, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Would you like to be part of the 2015 class, or know someone you think would benefit from the conference? To apply, please complete our nomination form. Once you complete the form, you or your nominee will receive an application form in September.  Following the deadline for applications, the selection committee will meet to review applications and make selections for this prestigious conference.

Scholarships

Our conference offers scholarships based on the availability of funds, financial need and demonstrated leadership ability. Participants may receive a maximum award of $200. Scholarship applications are reviewed and approved by our board. Apply for a scholarship.
