ID Cards
The Pala-Card is the official Furman University ID card for all students, faculty and staff. Each student is issued a photo ID card during Orientation to identify you as a member of the Furman community and to provide access to many of our campus facilities and services. Uses of the card include the following:
- Student Identification card
- Dining Services for meal plan
- Building access card
- Library card
- Physical Activity Center access
- Admission to cultural and intercollegiate athletic events
University ID cards are produced at the Student Business Center, located in Suite 102 of the Alester G. Furman Administration Building. Cards may be obtained during normal office hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM. ID cards are initially issued and replaced if damaged at no charge.
Lost cards are subject to a $20 replacement fee.
Important Things to Remember about your Student ID Card
Your Student ID card must be presented in order to gain access or services to the facilities listed above. The card is not transferrable and must not be loaned or given to any other person. Your card must clearly display your picture, name and ID number.
If your card breaks or no longer swipes properly, bring the card to the Student Business Center and we will make a new card for you at no charge. The card presented must identify you with the picture, name and ID number. If you lose your card or no longer have any portion of the card which identifies you, come to the Student Business Center as soon as possible to obtain a replacement card at a cost of $20.00. For extra security, you may call ext. 2027 to place a hold on your account until you have a replacement card made. If your old card is found after a new card is made, it cannot be reactivated and the replacement fee will not be refunded.
Any student who tries to obtain a new card fradulently in order to avoid paying the replacement fee may be subject to disciplinary action.
