Special assistance services
We have experienced almost every type of
request and need associated with traffic and parking. When you have
identified a special need, please visit with Sgt. Amanda Clapp in the
University Police Office. She is accustomed to handling unusual problems. If
you wait until you have received hundreds of dollars in tickets, you
probably have waited too long and will be responsible for those tickets.
Handicap parking
These spaces are reserved for permanent
handicap persons and require the driver to have a state handicap permit
or license tag. We do honor handicap licenses and permits from other
states but may require some verification.
Medical permits
Medical permits are issued to members of the
community with short-term problems resulting from an injury or surgery. A
note from your doctor, the university nurse, or a trainer will be
required. Medical permits allow you more latitude in parking on campus.
Miscellaneous needs
You may be sharing a car with a brother or
sister or are assigned a special project, which requires special parking
for one day. We will do our best to work with you on these problems
but only before you receive a ticket. We cannot guarantee that a ticket
will be voided after the fact.
