Title: Administration Systems Advisory Committee

Background: In order to provide a representative and unified voice to the direction of the administrative systems group in Information Technology Services, Furman University establishes the Administrative Systems Advisory Committee (ASAC).

Policy: The ASAC functions under the discretion of and reports to the Information Technology Advisory Council (ITAC). Committee members help set priorities, review new administrative systems, play both in an advisory role and participate in the implementation of new technologies, and provide an open means of communication between the administrative systems group and the users it supports.

Guidelines:

1. Members of the Administrative Systems Advisory Committee are expected to meet at least every other month. The Directory of Administrative Systems chairs the committee and establishes the agenda for committee meetings.
2. Membership of the Administrative Systems Advisory Committee is to consist of members of the staff as follows:
   1. Director of Administrative Systems (chair)
   2. One additional member of the administrative systems group (secretary non-voting)
   3. The University Registrar or a representative appointed by the University Registrar
   4. The Director of Financial Aid or a representative appointed by the Director
   5. The Director of Admissions or a representative appointed by the Director
   6. The Director of Institutional Planning and Research or a representative appointed by the Director
   7. The Director of Graduate Studies or a representative appointed by the Director
   8. The Director of Undergraduate Evening Studies or a representative appointed by the Director
   9. The Bursar or a representative appointed by the Bursar
   10. The Director of Human Resources or a representative appointed by the Director
   11. The Controller and a representative appointed by the Controller or two representatives appointed by the Controller
   12. The Director of Development Systems or a representative appointed by the Director
   13. A representative from Student Life appointed by the Vice President of Student Life.
   14. A representative of the ITAC appointed by ITAC.
3. Other members of the campus community may be invited to attend meetings to address specific matters related to agenda items.
