Site Preparation Support
Description

This service manages and coordinates activities to prepare physical sites for new or changed infrastructure that will house service assets to support IT and IT Business Support services.

Features
  • Identify site requirements such as floor space, electrical, mechanical, raised floor, ventilation, door clearances for moving equipment, equipment clearances, floor weight loads, desks, cubicles, console shelving and mounting.
  • Ensure requirements compliance with local building codes, safety and zoning.
  • Build floor space plans to accommodate expected IT equipment, power, people, furniture, environmental equipment, ventilation, cabling and physical security needs.
  • Provide consultation support for site selection, selection of 3rd party site contractors and contracting for site preparation services from 3rd parties.
  • Develop, administer and conduct site surveys.
  • Validate site physical space capacity, appropriate power, cabling and adherence to local standards and codes.
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and manage physical site preparation activities.
  • Certify sites for readiness to accept service infrastructure and completion of 3rd party contractor obligations.
  • Provide consulting services to build and oversee plans to move, consolidate, expand or replicate physical data centers and operational sites.
  • Provide consulting services to plan and oversee specialized physical infrastructure projects such as adding a command or operational center within an existing building.
  • Provide cost estimates for proposed physical site build, consolidation or expansion projects.
  • Coordinate site and construction activities for unique equipment needs such as building Microwave Towers.

Site preparation and consulting services are available during normal business hours, M - F except for holidays and campus shut-downs.
