Creating an External Password in Box
In order to log into any standard login screen for Box, including that on your mobile device, create an external password, different from your Furman NetID:
- Log into your enterprise Box account from your computer and
click on the gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen and then select Account Settings.
- Near the bottom of the Account Settings screen, you'll see an option to Create External Password. Enter a secure password preferably so the Strength meter shows Strong, confirm the password by re-typing and click Save.
Benefits of having an external password:
- Some apps do not support Single
Sign-on (SSO).
