Furman University Wireless Network

Furman University offers a wireless network that uses authentication and encryption. Access to the campus wireless network is restricted to those with a Furman network account.

Configuration Instructions

Guests:

The FU-Events wireless network is available for short-term use by camps, conferences, and sponsored guests. The FU-Events network is limited to Internet access. Most campus services are not available from the FU-Events network; the FU-Events network is not intended for use by students, faculty, or staff.

Visitors attending a conference or camp should contact their camp or conference sponsor for an ID and password to use the FU-Events wireless network. Furman employees wanting to sponsor a guest on the FU-Events wireless network should contact the CIS Help Desk at (864) 294-3277. FU-Events network configuration instructions (pdf)
