We apologize for any inconvenience that you may be experiencing with your Campus Cable TV connection. Before you submit a service order, please begin with some basic troubleshooting.

You are not receiving channels 80 or higher.

Furman's line-up does not offer these channels.

Your TV is probably not set for cable, rather for antenna. Go to the menu on your TV and set your TV to cable.

Is it possible for students to purchase additional Cable TV services for their rooms?
- No, it is not possible to purchase additional services. We keep costs down by providing a single, basic cable TV service for all on-campus residences.
How Do I Get a Movie Shown on the Furman Cable TV System?
- Furman Cable TV channels (14 and 15) are available for broadcasting VHS tapes or DVDs to the Furman campus cable TV system.
- Faculty may request broadcasts by sending an email to Multimedia Request, or via the Help Desk.
- We can only show movies upon faculty request, if the faculty member can satisfy one of these three requirements:
- The faculty member is the owner of the copyright for the movie.
- The faculty member has obtained copyright clearance from the film’s distributor/owner for a limited number of showings.
- The faculty member has arranged payment for a license to show the movie on the campus cable TV system.
