Book Discussion Group Christine Duke, 864-855-6798 (H) or 864-380-2789 (cell), christinekduke@earthlink.net

The Furman Link Book Club will be meeting on the last Tuesday of the month during the school year. We love to read and enjoy books, but are very friendly, laid back and casual about discussions. We generally read five or six books a year. Come join us!

Bridge Kris Cox, 864-834-8358, kgcox@hotmail.com

The bridge players normally meet on the first Monday of each month, from 7:00 PM until about 10:00 PM, with a different hostess each time. We are an intermediate level group who play “party bridge,” not duplicate. Join us for a spirited game, along with some lively conversation!

International Dining Sharon Cherry, 864-246-1135,  sharonanncherry@hotmail.com

Featuring food from around the world, this group meets at members’ homes two to three times a year. A country is chosen, recipes are researched and each member is assigned a dish to bring to the meal. This is a delightful group for new members and a great way to celebrate the diversity of our Furman family!

Let’s Go Out to Dinner  Coordinator Needed

Do you enjoy eating out with friends? Want to experience some of Greenville’s popular eating spots? Then this is the group for you! We meet once a month on a Tuesday evening to dine out at local restaurants. Email notices are sent out at least one week ahead of each meeting and reservations are received by email up to the morning of the outing. Come out for excellent food and great company.

Supper Club Barbara Foltz, 864-294-2110, barbara.foltz@furman.edu

Another opportunity for pleasurable dining is our Supper Club. Share you home and joy of cooking with other Furman friends. This group meets one each term. Fellow members bring everything except the main dish, bread, and beverage. Gourmet cooking skills are not at all necessary. We are a fun group that just enjoys getting together.

The Cinema and Theater Club Coordinator Needed

Thought provoking films – dramas, documentaries, independent or foreign films are the spotlight of this new group offering. Meet up for a relaxing evening out at the movies. After the show, members are invited to meet up at a nearby coffee shop for a brief informal group discussion of the film along with an opportunity to get to know fellow members. Film selection, dates and times will be determined by member input and local viewing options.
