Chris Lehman is an author, speaker, and a Senior Staff
 
Developer with Teacher College Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University. He is the author of Energizing Research Reading and Writing, A Quick Guide to Reviving Disengaged Writers, and co-author with Lucy Calkins and Mary Ehrenworth of Pathways to the Common Core: Accelerating Achievement.

During this seminar, Chris will help you see how your current literacy practices align to the expectations of the Common Core State Standards and guide you to see steps you can take to revise your literacy curriculum so that it supports the new dimensions of learning called for in the standards. Participants will learn how to understand what the standards say and what they don't say, and learn to recognize the guiding principles that underpin the reading and writing standards.

Lisa Foster, a full-time consultant with the Educational
 
Resources Group, specializes in classroom technology integration. She has been a successful teacher, assistant principal, principal, and district administrator, including serving as the Director of Instruction for Lexington School District Two. Lisa led Lexington Two, home of South Carolina's only Apple Distinguished School, with the implementation of mobile devices for a variety of instructional support modes for kindergarten through high school, special education, ESOL, and Gifted and Talented students.
