Art Department Slide Library
Digital copies of Furman University's Art Department extensive slide library. The original slides had previously been used in class, but due to the limited use of the slides and the increasing scarcity of replacement parts for slide projects, this collection was created.

August Sander and the Weimar Republic
August Sander (1876-1964) was a photographer in Germany during the period known to history as the Weimar Republic. The pictures in this collection have been selected from his seven-volume masterwork, People in the 20th Century.

Coin Collections
A collection of more than 500 coins, the majority of which were created during the Roman Republic and Roman Empire. In addition to the ancient coins, there are also a number of coins which were created in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. These coins are predominately from European kingdoms and Latin American mints.

Czech Republic and Central Europe
Photographs taken by Furman University Education professor Michael Svec. Although the majority of the photographs are from the Czech Republic, photographs from Slovakia, Vienna, Lithuania and Poland are also included.

Furman Army ROTC
Photographs, pamphlets, and other materials on the history of ROTC at Furman beginning in the 1960s. The Furman University Department of Military Science was organized in the fall of 1950 as an Armored Cavalry ROTC Unit.

The Furman Cougar Project
The Furman Cougar Project (2008-2013) collection contains photographs from the Ladder Ranch in Sierra County, New Mexico. The cameras used in the capturing of photos were funded in part by the Oregon Zoo Future for Wildlife Conservation Grant and sponsored by Michelle Schireman. Photos in this collection were graciously contributed by Travis Perry, Furman University Associate Professor of Biology.

Furman Family Letters
The Furman Family Letters will contain letters from three collections: The Richard Furman Papers (1775-1825); The James Clement Furman Papers (1828-1891); and The Furman Family Papers (1782-1960).

Furman Glass Plates
Scans from glass plate negatives housed in Special Collections and Archives at Furman University. These images represent both Furman and the Greenville Woman's College and span the years 1915 to 1933, with the majority from 1928 to 1932.

Furman Oral History Project
Oral histories taken and recorded by history professor Courtney Tollison and her students. Many of the recordings feature Furman's own rich history and the history of Greenville. Some notable interviewees include Max and Trude Heller, Charles Townes, President John E. and Martha Johns, and John Plyler, Jr.

Furman Student Newspapers
This collection contains digitized copies of the Furman University student publication The Furman Hornet, published from 1916 to 1961; it will soon include copies of The Paladin, published from 1961 to the present.

Furman Trustees Minutes
This collection contains the minutes from the regular meetings of Furman University's Board of Trustees from 1825 to 1949. Minutes from the Executive Committee, Executive Meetings, and all minutes after 1949 have been removed.
