Furman Admission Network Interviews
Furman Admission Network (FAN) interviews give you the opportunity to talk about all those things that make you unique
— your talents, experiences and aspirations. What better way to find out if Furman is right for you?
As an applicant, you are encouraged to participate in an informal interview with a Furman alumnus or parent. You will be paired with someone in your area and ideally, interview in person. If that doesn't work, you may interview by phone or Skype.
Though a FAN interview is an optional part of the application process, the Admission Committee strongly urges every applicant to participate. These informal interviews allow you to speak with someone who knows Furman personally and to see if Furman is the right fit for you. It also allows us to get to know you in ways that your application may not have revealed.
To sign up for a FAN interview, create a profile on Furman's
Engage Community. After creating a profile and being matched with your counselor, click on "Home (Feed)" at the top of the page. You will be automatically directed to your home page news feed. On the right side of your home page will be a box titled "Furman Admission Network Interview Request." Click "Sign me up!" and follow the prompts.
If you have any questions about the process, you may email
FANManager@furman.edu.
