Plan your visit
Once you see our campus, making the right college decision will be so much easier. You’ll begin to better understand some of the opportunities available here—opportunities that make Furman different from other schools. Here’s an easy guide to help you plan your visit.
Take a tour
Schedule a campus visit to learn if Furman is the right fit for you. Visits begin at Hartness Welcome Center and typically include a 30-minute information session with an admission counselor, followed by a 75-minute tour of campus with a student ambassador. You can also meet a professor in your intended major or have lunch with a current student to discuss the university’s academics, extracurricular activities, study away programs and internships. Plan on spending three to four hours with us, if your schedule permits.
Shadow a Paladin
Only offered in the spring semester, applicants and admitted students are invited to spend a morning shadowing one of our current Furman students. This visit is specifically designed for students who have previously visited Furman and are looking for additional insight into the Furman experience. Attend a host student’s classes and have lunch with them on campus. Shadowing a Paladin.

When school is in session, high school seniors can attend the class of your choice. Sign up for a classroom visit.
Overnight stay
For high school seniors, we offer the opportunity for an overnight visit in a residence hall. Please allow 10 business days' notice for an overnight request.
