Whether you're driving in from out of town or flying into Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, we can help you plan your trip. Use the tools below to map out your travel arrangements before you arrive.
Arrival information
Registration is Sunday, July 7 and Sunday, July, 14 from 1 until 3 p.m. Registration will take place at a residence hall. Be sure to review the information that we sent you in the mail for more details.
Departure information
We require our students to check-out on Saturday, July 13 or Saturday, July 20 from 8 until 10 a.m. If you are planning to attend both sessions, you may remain on campus between the two sessions. Keep in mind that these students will not be allowed to leave on Saturday, July 13 unless checked out by a parent with a signed consent form.
Catching a flight?
With direct flights by major airlines, Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is located just 35 minutes from the Furman campus. Southwest Airlines is a major hub, offering daily non-stop flights to Baltimore, Houston, Orlando, Nashville, and Chicago.
Once you book a flight, be sure to submit your itinerary to summer.scholars@furman.edu by June 15 so we can arrange transportation to campus. We offer van transportation to and from Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. When you arrive in Greenville, go to the baggage claim on the lower level to meet a Summer Scholars representative. Unfortunately, if you decide to fly into Atlanta, Charlotte, or Asheville, N.C., we are unable to provide airport transportation. At these locations, Atchison Transportation Service is our recommended provider for airport transportation.
