Complete our Summer Scholars Application
. We offer two sessions: July 7-13 or July 14-20. Deadline to apply is April 15, 2013.
We review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning January 15, 2013. Be sure to electronically sign the application along with your parent or guardian.
Once we have reviewed applications, we will send out acceptance letters with additional forms that must be submitted to attend our program. Keep in mind that requests for disability accommodations must be made by May 15, 2013.
If you have already received your acceptance letter into our program, be sure to submit your $200 non-refundable deposit. The deposit is due two weeks after notification of your acceptance. If you are joining us for both sessions, keep in mind that you will need to pay a deposit for each session. Final course assignments are made upon receipt of this deposit.
Tuition for the one-week program is $1,000. If enrolling for both weeks, you will pay $1,800—
a $200 discount. Tuition includes room and board, meals, field trips, social activities, and optional linens. It does not include personal spending money, souvenirs, medical expenses, or travel expenses.
Final payment is due June 1, 2013. There are no refunds for cancellations, early departures or dismissals from the program.
Choose your course
Whether you’re interested in graphic design or participating in a mock trial, Summer Scholars offers you the opportunity to discover what it’s like to study at Furman. Each session, our students have the ability to choose a course from five options. To pick your course, simply rank your top two choices in the application, and we’ll place you in a class. Be sure to apply early to land your desired course. Select your course for the summer.
