Affording a Furman Education
At Furman, we're committed to working with you one-on-one from the beginning of your exploration into the university. We practice open communications, provide counseling and materials, and offer the highest level of personal service to your family prior to acceptance and after you have been accepted to Furman. Our comprehensive financial aid program offers traditional sources of financial aid, as well as scholarships. Furman's own scholarships and grants, combined with federal and state assistance and wise financial planning, enable most qualified students to enjoy the full benefits of a signature liberal arts education.

annual cost is to attend Furman.
To be considered for any need-based financial assistance, you must complete the
CSS Profile and the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Financial aid packages usually have a combination of Furman need-based grants and/or Merit-based Scholarships, federal/state grants and loans, and work-study. Be sure to review the
deadlines for these forms.
Many students also apply for scholarships administered by agencies and organizations outside of Furman by using online resources like
fastweb.com,
finaid.org, and the
College Board.
We offer a number of
scholarships to students who demonstrate a strong ability to succeed based on their academic achievements, commitment to the community, passion for leading, or exemplary talents. Furman's scholarships aim to recognize those students who show the potential and promise to make an impact in Furman's community.
