Multicultural Student Evening
Building community
Our students discuss how Furman pulls everyone together into a community.
Furman University is a community of learning enriched by the wide variety of experiences and perspectives of its students, faculty, and staff. Furman thus embraces diversity as an implicit value and as an explicit practice in all of its endeavors.
Multicultural Student Evening is our way of offering students and families a tangible experience of a community that upholds the inherent worth of individuals in an atmosphere of mutual respect, trust, and civility.
All accepted multicultural students and their families are invited to stay the night of Friday, April 19, as our guest for the Multicultural Student Evening. During this evening, you will:
- learn about resources available to our inclusive community of students;
- enjoy dinner and a speaker with current students, faculty, and staff;
- meet representatives from various student organizations;
- share experiences with your new classmates in all walks of life from across the country and around the world.
Students will stay overnight on campus with a student host, and parents will enjoy hotel accommodations in downtown Greenville courtesy of the Office of Admission. Space is limited, so we encourage you to register soon.
