Internships
We approach
internships as another component of academics. By screening potential employers, keeping faculty involved, and requiring that students provide written reflections and evaluation of their experiences, Furman internships mesh with the goals of our liberal arts program. Internships can originate from the Internship Office or directly from academic departments. We get to know our students. And if you come in to see us, you get to know us. That makes it easier to match your interests, skills, and goals with our internship opportunities.
We invest almost half a million dollars each year to fund hundreds of internships and research opportunities all over the world for our students. The
Furman Advantage Program is one of the few programs in the country that directly funds student internships each summer, providing competitive fellowships for students who would otherwise receive little or no payment.
