  • Current disciplinary research interests

      Endocrine disruption in aquatic invertebrates

  • Interest in connecting sustainability to research

My research has implications for sustainability, as I study environmental contaminants and their effects on physiology in animals. I am also interested in incorporating concepts relating to environmental protection, contaminant mitigation, and conservation into my courses. Eventually, I would like to develop a FYS course titled The Informed Consumer, in which we would examine the life cycle of consumer products from extraction of natural resources through to disposal or repurposing and explore opportunities for minimizing environmental impacts of those products.
