Undergraduate Research in Psychology
The Psychology Department encourages students to conduct research projects
as part of their coursework and outside of classes. Students conduct research
on a variety of topics, including infant cognition, the biochemical basis of
alcohol addiction in mice, adult attention deficit disorders, aging and memory,
how religious attitudes affect others, and when and how we reveal information
about ourselves to others. A great many of these projects lead to presentations
at professional conventions, and some result in publications in the primary
literature. Students have made presentations at the following conferences in
recent years:
Southeastern Psychological Association
Atlanta, New Orleans, Norfolk, Savannah
