Career and Graduate School Resources Psychology Furman University

The Psychology major is excellent preparation for many careers that involve knowledge about human behavior and skills in data collection and analysis. Some careers will involve further study at the graduate level; others will not. Thinking about graduate school or need some career direction? We have several resources that can help.

Career Resources

Current students are urged to consult with Furman’s Career Services Office. This office offers workshops on various aspects of career planning and serves as the liaison for recruiters from business and industry. The office also houses an extensive database for job exploration and alumni connections. It is never too early to begin exploring your options and developing relevant skills!

Another way to learn more about career options is to attend the Career Nights that are offered during the fall term. See the calendar of events to find out this year's date. In addition, internships offer you the opportunity to explore career interests through hands-on experience with professionals in the community.
