I graduated in May 2006 from The University of South Carolina's Masters
Program in Genetic Counseling. I am now living and working in
Birminghanm , Alabama . I work as a pediatric and prenatal genetic
counselor at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
I'm currently applying to graduate school for a Clinical Psychology Ph.D.
For the past 3 years, I have been working as a research assistant at
UNC-Chapel Hill doing autism research, which I plan to continue in grad
school. I got married in 2006 to Bobby Holtzclaw, a fellow Furman grad
('04). He will graduate from NC State with a degree in Civil
Engineering this year, and then it's his turn to put me through school!
I am in my second year of getting a Psy D in clinical psychology at Nova
Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I still have 3 more
years after this year left. I am thinking about working with kids, adolescents,
or with eating disorders but I am not sure yet.
In my personal life, I am still dating the same guy I was seeing at Furman
but he is currently living in Greenville.
