After Furman, I attended Duke Divinity School and graduated with a Master of Divinity in 1993.
I married fellow Furman/Duke alum Tom Polaski in 1993. We have a daughter, Kate, who was born in 2001.
We
live in Charlotte, NC, and we love it here. Tom teaches at Winthrop
University in nearby Rock Hill, SC. I am the program coordinator at the
Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America. My job allows me to work
with people who strive for peace rooted in justice all over the world.
Though I am usually at my computer in a church basement, I do have the
opportunity to travel quite a bit -- fairly extensively throughout the
US and Canada -- and sometimes more far-flung areas such as Nicaragua
and Italy. I love what I do and the people with whom I get to do it.
